S.O.A.P. Project

Wednesday, February 01, 2012 - Thursday, February 02, 2012

Trafficking survivor and author Theresa Flores started the S.O.A.P. project (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) to educate motel owners and staff on human trafficking and offer a way for individuals to reach out for help. You can be a part of the project by labeling and distributing bars of soap to area hotels in preparation for the Superbowl. Visit soapsuperbowl2012.eventbrite.com to volunteer to help with labeling and/or distributing. Learn more about Theresa’s story and the S.O.A.P. project at www.traffickfree.com.

If you can't be a part of the labeling or distributing, you can still help by providing lunch for the volunteers! We need salads or veggie trays, garlic bread, or dessert (to serve 12) as well as drinks (lemonade or iced tea) and paper products (plates, bowls, napkins, cups, and cutlery).

Please bring the food to Bible Study on Wednesday, February 1 or clearly label, put it in the fridge before then, and let Debi know. For more info about the S.O.A.P. project or to sign up to bring food, contact , 946.3288.
