Summer 2010 Study

It’s old, but it’s always new. It can change your perspective, and your life.
It’s the Word of God.

Counterculture for the Common Good

July Bible Study (9:30-11:15 am OR 6:30-8 pm, Room 190)

Do you tend to lose the discipline of studying the Bible over the summer?  Join us in examining and applying God’s Word four Wednesdays in July.  Identical studies will be offered morning and evening. These sessions are created to ask how Christians can live as a counterculture of Christ-likeness. (Please note the chapters, as they will not be used in order.)

  • July 7: Chapter 2 - Living in a Culture of Sexual Immorality
Our response can invite or dissuade others to redemption.
  • July 14: Chapter 3 - The Church’s Highest Calling: Faithfulness
We may be nearer to colluding with culture than changing it.
  • July 21: Chapter 1- Justice for All, One at a Time
What is God’s view of people in need?
  • July 28: Chapter 4 - Tilting at the Windmills of Culture
Can we realistically fight against culture?
