Nora Elementary

Next door to our property, Nora Elementary School has become a somewhat unusual and very special neighbor in recent years. Two classes from Nora meet in our facility in our Early Childhood secure area. La Esquelita preschool is for children of non-English-speaking families to learn English and prepare them for school.  A Kindergarten class from Nora also makes their home with us. Additionally, After School Achievers, a tutoring opportunity, meets in our facility after the regular school day.

Each fall, we organize a school supply drive to benefit some of the economically disadvantaged children who attend Nora to help them start the school year off right. In the past, we provided other services for the school, including installing new playground equipment on their property.

In return, Nora gives back to Faith Church by loaning their parking lot for Sunday activities, and graciously allowing us to use their building as needed for classroom space. This met a critical need during the 2004-2005 construction process.
