Sunday mornings: March 4 - May 27

9 am classes

The Life of Christ (Live It Out Course 2) - Rm. 190
Join us as we examine the four Gospel accounts in the Bible as unique portraits of Jesus and historical accounts of his life. Together we’ll explore the events of Jesus’ life and the core ideas of his teachings. The Gospels claim that Jesus is the Christ, and during this class we’ll consider the implications of this claim for both the world and our lives. Taught by David Trujillo.

Ecclesiastes - Rm. 150
King Solomon had it all – wealth, wisdom, and power. However, he discovered that life was meaningless without a deep relationship with God. Solomon’s message is one that speaks directly to life issues that people deal with today. This class will concentrate on Bible study, class interaction, and prayer. Taught by Morris Jones.

365 Fellowship - Rm. 148
This group meets year-round with a focus on building long-term class relationships. This quarter, the class will finish its study of “The Truth Project,” a Focus on the Family series designed to equip believers with a comprehensive biblical worldview. Practically and personally, participants will be reintroduced to the truth claims of God. Taught by Scott Freeman and Ray Childers.

Creation Care - Rm. 254
Every day we hear news reports about pollution, famine, droughts, floods, extinction of species, and climate change. How did the Earth go from God’s perfect creation to the degraded mess it is today? Should Christians be concerned about the environment? This class will study what the Bible says about our responsibilities to God’s creation. Taught by Bob Aram.

Optional Text – Earth-Wise: A Biblical Response to Environmental Issues by Calvin DeWitt, $10.

10:45 am classes

Living Today - Rm. 190
This group meets year-round and will be studying great prayers of the New Testament. Join this class for a detailed study of God’s Word and a vibrant prayer ministry. All ages are welcome! Taught by Jack Rogers.

Story of Justice - Rm. 210 (Youth Room)
This class will concentrate on the story of justice in the Old Testament by studying laws found in the “Book of the Covenant” (Exodus 20:22-23:17). Special attention will be given to the issues of slavery, women, aliens, an “eye for an eye”, and justice in the courts in the context of the Bible’s larger Ancient Near East setting. Taught by Chet Wood.

Living a Disciplined Life (Live It Out Course 4) - Rm. 148
Sometimes we try so hard to grow spiritually, but feel like we’re spinning our wheels. During this class, we’ll look at the idea of spiritual training rather than just spiritual ‘trying.’ We’ll explore classic spiritual disciplines such as prayer, study, simplicity, solitude, fellowship, and fasting and support each other in striving to apply these disciplines in our lives. Taught by Peter LeBlanc and Bob Blahnik.
